Description /Application

Bilco's Riser Waste Retriever is a large capacity (14 US gal) debris-capturing tool.  This riser tool was designed in recognition of the fact that even at high pump rates only relatively low annular velocities are achieved in the riser.  It features screened drainage for positive debris removal, Venturi porting to enhance debris capture through fluid manipulation and robust solid mandrel design with 6 5/8" reg. connection for superior torsion and tensile yield strengths. 

In the dynamic environment of deepwater completion a higher degree of cleanliness is required to prevent non productive time.  This tool will retrieve debris that has been loosened but not circulated out and which otherwise could fall down the well.

Operation

This tool is generally run above the Riser Brush Tool as an integrated approach to clean and validate well bore cleanliness.  This assembly is most effective when spaced above the LMRP and is exposed to all circulation related to the cleanout and displacement operation.  The Riser Waste Retriever can be run in all fluids, it becomes more effective as carrying capacities during fluid exchange operations decrease.
